I have a 2001 A4 that I am getting ready to swap out the radiator for a Dewiitts. I have been putting this off, but I purchased what I though was everything I would need a couple years ago.
One of the things I purchased were a couple GM Stock radiator lower pads that look like they install between the frame and the radiator at the bottom. One is a round large grommet-looking rubber piece that the positioning metal dowel on the radiator passenger side fits through and the other is more of a formed rubber pad for the driver's side. I have been watching several YouTube videos on C5 Radiator swaps, but I am not seeing where people are using these (looks like they are just installing metal-to-metal). Were these just used on certain years?

The rubbers are attached to the rad support, you will see them once you get your rad out and inspect the rad support structure for any damages BEFORE you install the big-bucks DeWitts Rad.... I'm looking at this DeWitts Rad myself, as per the DeWitts install instructions, for the stock fan shroud fitment, there is some trimming required (their web page provides trimming instructions)....
Can you please post up comments and photos of your install regarding "fitments" of this radiator, specifically the upper/lower rad hose positioning with regards to rubbing on other components such as the brake lines coming off the ABS module (upper rad hose)?
Thx
Goose

Regarding the radiator fitment issues, please see this thread with photos here, specifically post number 9 and post number 15 > Dewitts Radiator Upgrade - CorvetteForum - Chevrolet Corvette Forum Discussion
As my car also has the ABS module up front I would like to see more feed back from other installs regarding fitment specifically the upper rad hose to brake line clearance...
