I am getting ready to change the battery in my 99 coupe. I have the GM Service manual, and I know that I will have to have my car "re-learn" the RKE key fobs. However, my copy of the manual is missing all of the information on page 8-792 regarding the DIC key sequences to put the car into the learn sequence.
What is the DIC key sequence to relearn the transmitters??
NEVERMIND!!! Found it buryed in a forum archive. For anyone who is interested, turn the key to "on" but don't start the engine. cycle through the "options" in the DIC until the screen is blank. press and hold reset until "Fob Training" appears. Press reset again, and follow the directions... EASY!! :seeya
thanks topflight70,
i replaced the battery (AGM) in my 98 last week.
since i didn't have to reset the radio or the seat memory i assumed everything else was ok. when i read your post i went and got my key fob
and went down to the garage and lo and behold it didn't work. i didn't realize
you had to reprogram the key fob. it's not a daily driver so i had not found out yet.
thanks,
rock
