Which Water Pump
Replacing the water pump on my LS1. New pump prices are all over the place. Anyone got a good recommendation for suitable service and price? Car is 2004 base coupe with no engine mods and used as a cruiser. 112k miles, original pump and hoses (dated 9 & 10 of '03.

I am surprised your OE pump went 112,000 miles. Mine went 76,000 miles. My first replacement O'Reilly pump went a little over a year and 4,000 miles, the second, under warranty O'Reilly pump has gone another ten years, 40,000 miles and 20 track days to 115,000 miles, so far.
From my perspective, auto parts quality is simply uncertain. The Chinese will eventually learn how to make reliable parts just like the Japanese did. It will take some time for us to identify manufacturers of reliable Chinese parts.
Time to change ALL hoses.
So far as I can tell, Gates is reliable. Or AC Delco. Water pumps in those brands might also be reliable. Maybe.
