I need help with some problems with my Corvette C5 from the end of the year 2000.
1- The alarm does not work, the horn does. The fuse and relay are checked and good. I have tried to make it ring with the remote and even leaving a car door and hood open while closing the car with the remote control.
2- Sometimes basic configurations fail, such as the driver's seat does not move closer to the steering wheel when I insert the key in the ignition or the doors are opened with a single touch on the open button, when I have it configured to be open in two taps.
3- The automatic exterior lights do not always turn on by themselves at night and they do not always turn off by themselves, although I have them configured to act automatically. The battery is at 100% and you are short on time. The chassis ground connections are checked, clean and greased.
4- The started engine makes a cla cla cla cla clap as if they were tappets.
5- The first and second gear sometimes cost so much to introduce that I directly give up and try to put another one and go back to the first or second gear then and then ok. The clutch oil is changed and very clean, he put Dexron 4.
I bought the car from a supposedly Dutch collector, who apparently was not very careful with the car and although he told me that the car was perfect, the reality is quite different.
I thank him in advance for all his help and I apologize if something is not well understood, because I write from Spain, with google translator, as I am not fluent in the language.
The problem with the alarm, seats, and lights not working correctly could be problems with your cars BCM. Does your car have good oil pressure, that could be why the tappets or rockers are making that noise. Couldn't understand about the first and second gear problem, I take it the car is a 6 speed manual, clutch oil is brake fluid oil not Dexron 4,,

I can't see the oil pressure because the pressure sensor is bad. I am waiting for a new sensor to arrive to install and test it. Problems with the BCM how can I solve them? Is there any test i can do? I made a mistake writing Dexron 4, I wanted to say Dot 4. I understand that the problem of engaging some gears on the C5 with manual gearbox, was solved by changing the clutch oil often or changing some rods from I don't know where, I don't remember.
Let's see if the same thing happens to a colleague and can help me.
Thank you very much for your help.
