Default Upgraded TPMS Receiver Problems

I just upgraded to the 2001-2004 TPMS receiver. The key fobs programmed with no issues. I tried to then do the TPMS sensors and I can't get to the "Tire Training" screen. It stays on "FOB Training" and will not advance. Anyone have an idea on what could be wrong? Thank you in advance

Where did you get the RFA module from? A 01-04 Z06 or a coupe or convertible.
If you got one from a Z06 then a Tech2 is needed to enable the TPMS function in the module since the Z06 models did not come with TPMS.

If you bought a new old stock one I am not sure what would be the issue then.

It did come from a Z06 so I guess I need to find a Tech 2. Thank you!

Since you have a 2000 or older, I believe that you will need to move the RFA to a 2001 or newer car and use a tech2 to enable the TPMS there then put it into your car.
This has to do with the BCM in you car not having the necessary options to enable/disable the TPMS function.

Are we correct assuming you got the '01 and up tire sensors? You mentioned only the Fobs.....

Did you wire it yourself? How did the pinout carry from old to new? I've got the old receiver and the 01-04 to swap but don't know the pinout. Thanks!

Do you have the pigtail from the 01-04? The wires are the same color for both systems, power (orange), ground (black) and pink for the data bus.

Gary:

I'm afraid that's the problem. I have the module but not the original pigtail. The connector I bought has 4 gray wires. I'm stuck like Chuck....
