Need getting axles back into differential

After swapping out my axles for stronger C6 ones, I can’t get them to push over the snap rings.

I’ve tried jacking up the spindle to change the angle and such but I can’t get them in.

Anyone else have this problem? Any tips? Should I source new snap rings? I made sure to use the same ones when I removed them.

I just got the driver’s side in. I jacked up the suspension to where the shock tower is just about in position in the frame; this gave me the correct angle I guess. I then pushed in pretty hard using the top of the A-arm. Onto the passenger side.....

Push straight in and while holding hit the threaded end with a BRASS hammer.
