Thoughts from the PRI show
We had a great time at the show, I had a chance to meet a lot of people that I've been talking to on the forums, as well as some of the other vendors.
MattG from exit28, Wade & Barry and several of the guys from ARE were all very cool, that's a hardcore bunch of racers if I ever saw one! We had a good discussion on the Darton sleeved block conversions, which I think will lead to some serious high boost R&D on that setup.
I was able to find A few exciting new products that we will be testing, and hopefully bringing to the forum members soon. You drag guys that run a T-56 6 speed will have something trick to check out very soon!
All in all it was a very productive week, and the tear down process is getting less and less painfull each year! The coolest thing was coming home with the truck & trailer Saturday night and stopping at a Subway, a Mag red LPE S/C Corvette idling in the parking lot , with the owner sitting inside having ice cream! I can't believe I get paid to do this!
I hope everybody that went had as much fun as I did, and if you didn't get to go, definately try to go next year, you won't regret it.

It was nice to meet you to, Ed and Josh. It was interesting to see that sleeve setup at PRI, and will be even more interesting to see how it works out in high HP engines!
BTW, Barry is looking for a friendly race when you get your 1st Gen LS1 running!

I have to say that this was the best automotive related show I have ever been to! I couldn't believe all the vendor displays there were there! It took me a full 3 days to check out everything that I wanted to. I will definitely be going back next year!
Ed, it was great meeting you in person. I think John L. made a very smart decision to have you give his company representation on the forums!
It was also great getting to meet Al and Matt from Stainless Works, Mike Norris from Norris Motorsports, Jeff from Performance Technical Center and of course, Andy Bolig of Corvette Fever!
See you guys next year for sure!! :seeya

It was good to meet you guys too, me and Josh are definately looking forward to hanging out with you guys in Bowling Green. He's bringing his LT1 F-body, and I'll have the Bastard with me, primer and all!
I will run Barry for sure, but I tell you, that 1.37 60 ft. "flat stabbin' it " has me worried! lol
MattG - you're way too kind buddy!!!

Re: Thoughts from the PRI show (kromberg)
What we have for the T56 is a hardened 300M output shaft, and gears.
We have the first shaft here now, and it is very cool, we haven't seen the gears yet, but they should be good pieces as well.
I haven't heard much about output shafts breaking in the 4L60E, they usually start slipping before that becomes an issue. We're in the same boat as everyone else as far as the 4L60E goes, we carry a spare every time we go to the track! Keep in mind that this is in a C5 with 1100+ HP , the trans is very good up to about 600hp.
As for the old school match race, I'll be there, and I will definately put on a show, but Barry is the man, his car is quick and I will really have to do my homework just to keep from embarrassing myself!!!!
I'm almost finished with this '69 Camaro pace car restoration that I've been working on, then, after Christmas, mine comes back in the garage to start on the LS1 conversion. I'll keep you guys posted on the progress.

Re: Thoughts from the PRI show (Ed Potter @ LPE)
Ed,When we spoke on the phone before you left for PRI you specifically told me you were making hardened transmission output shafts for an AUTOMATIC only, now your saying you have one for the six-speed,which is it?Auto or stick?

Re: Thoughts from the PRI show (STEALTH C-5)
I'm sorry Stealth C-5, let me explain. I originally was told we would have the six speed shaft by the PRI show, when I spoke to you on the phone, I wanted to double check before I gave you an answer. I checked with our engineers, and in my haste I must have mis-understood them, and incorrectly told you the shaft would be for the A/T. Keep in mind, that this was all done verbally, no pictures, or anything.
Now, we have the shaft IN HAND and it is definately a six speed shaft! they are also making a gear set, but we don't have one yet.
I am e-mailing you a picture, if anybody else wants it, let me know. I will post a link to the pic on our website as soon as I get it.
