Default Soft Pedal after C6Z Caliper Install

I just wrapped up my install of C6Z calipers, pads, rotors and stainless steel lines on my '03 coupe. I bled the lines twice around following the RR/LF/LR/RF order and inner then outer bleed nipple on each caliper. I took it for a quick drive and had to turn around because the pedal is very soft, it does brake but you have to really stand on it. I brought it in and bled it again. All told i probably put about a quart of fluid through so far. I am using a motive type power bleeder that pressurizes the system. I have triple checked for leaks and have found none. Prior to the swap my pedal felt very firm. I have bled the old brakes and brakes on other cars before successfully with this procedure. The calipers are oriented in the correct direction (bleeders up). Does anyone have experience with this, do i need to bleed it more? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

Do you have access to a Tech2 to bleed the system?

I do not, but i didn't think it was 100% necessary, I thought that was just to flush the ABS System? Air shouldn't have gotten that far into the system

Fair point, but I can't imagine this is normal for any care let alone a performance car. Before the swap the engagement was at the top of the pedal and had a great bite, now i'm at the floor before it stops.

Take it out on a gravel or dirt road and lock the wheels up to active the ABS and see if that helps

I’d say the brakes weren’t bled properly than.

Hey I just did the C6 Z06 brake upgrade as well and have this same issue, just got it up on jack stands to bleed it again.
I wasn't sure if I had gotten air into the ABS module, but I never let any of the lines lose much fluid during the swap, MC never got low.
Also used the motive power bleeder, let us know what your fix is.

Thanks!

Sounds like the power bleeder is the common issue.

I've used it before on this car and others with no issues.
I will say I was surprised how little brake fluid it really took initially to get the pedal back to firm, so I suspect there's pockets of air trapped in the calipers still

Update:
Full re-bleed fixed everything, saw lots of micro bubbles, pedal is solid as can be now.
