Help - how do you replace idler pulley?
Could someone give me some guidance on replacing the idler pulley? I have the torque specs and that you need 16mm but nothing more. For starters wow do you get the belt off the pulley?

Just a suggestion here, but mechanical work isn't everyone's cup-of-tea, so to speak. If you need help on instructions on how to get the belt off, I would suggest that you take the C5 to a professional to do the job. I think you and the car will come out ahead in the long run.

The bolt in the middle of the pulley will loosen! That's all it takes; then everything relaxes and off comes the pulley and sepintine belt! Go get em! :D
