I am fairly new to this site. And this is my first posting.
I have a 2000 hardtop, black. I am thinking of taking my car to Doug Rippie Motorsports and I wonder if anybody has any exprience with or insight to Doug Rippie, or would you have any other recomendations such as lingenfelter.
I want to get about 500 hp and tq with a na 383 stroker engine. Rippie offers a 383 stroker engine with 500 hp and tq.
I don't have experience with DRM but I've only heard good things about their products. Welcome to the Forum!! Maybe someone will chime in with some real info?
I've only heard good things about DRM too - someone will have some more specific info. Lingenfelter is also great choice - doesn't get any better. :seeya
I've got a 427 going in to my car at DRM as we speak. Check out Car and Driver magazine. In an issue earlier this year they tested both a 427 DRM coupe and a 383 DRM stroker. They had nothing but great things to say about both. The DRM 427 holds a Car and Driver acceleration record. The point of the article was how DRM builds its cars to hold up to hard track use and be both durable and docile enough to get you home at the end of the day in comfort. Some tuners build wilder packages, but DRM does them to provide long, trouble free power.
