got a steal from co part on a 01 z06.first off car has been in fresh water that did get inside car..starter and computer loooked bad in water so i relaced.at that point my scan tool gave me a code that the computor was not communicating with tac module.ordered one.code went away.still no start.car.reads reduced engine power and traction control.my scanner shows no codes.car still no start..not showing any codes on my scan tool really has me puzzled.
Even without doing any testing I still think it may be the BCM...what kind of scan tool do you have ??... can you check the BCM inputs ??
...my scan tool showing some of the BCM inputs that can help in troubleshooting !!
i am sure you are correct.its is where i am going next,i dont have a high end scan tool.pretty good not shop quality.it is almost certainly at this point bcm.thanks for the input.
Most likely the BCM. One of its functions is to provide a ground connection to the TDR relay coil, if it doesn't the TDR will not energize and it's contacts will not close and send power to energize the starter.
yes.pretty sure it is the problem..sending it off seems like the best option for repair..it reads the key so buying used it would need prorammed.i would think.

You can use this method with a new or used BCM 1. Turn on the key for 11 minutes. 2 Turn off the key for 30 seconds. 3. Repeat 1&2 two more times. 4. Turn on the key for 30 seconds.
You better have a GOOD battery or put the battery on a charger
If you do get another BCM you will still need a Tech2 to add your RPO's back in it
