Bilstein vs Stock shock
what's the different? longer travel distance? some people lowered thier car with longer bolts then they go with bilstein because the stock is bottom out. please advice. Thanks!

Bilsteins diff road better than the z51 shocks. I put on a set then 300 miles later I put on some rather expensive 16pt adj shocks for drag racing. I have a set up Bilsteins in my store room with 300 miles on them, send me a hundred and I'll shipem to you.

Do you still have the Bilstein and are they the sports? You want a hundred for them, I am very interested. How much better did they ride? I have an 03 Z06 that they will be going on.

I put the Bilstein Sports on my 99 to replace the base suspension shocks with 25k miles. Huge difference- much less roll, and less bounce. The ride is firm, but actually just as comfortable as the stock shocks. I have not lowered the car.
I have really enjoyed this upgrade- especially on the roadcourses.
I put on the Bilsteins at the same time that I replaced the stock runflats with Michelin Pilot Sports- a night and day improvement overall.
