I need recommendation on a oil pump. My build will be BTR Stage 2 cam kit on A/T.

Should I go with melling high volume high pressure oil pump ? or standard one?

The stock pump puts out plenty of pressure, unless you've installed oil squirters. I've run the Hi-Volume Melling pump for many years. A high volume pump will run same pressure as stock. If you are tracking the car, and the motor starts starving for oil, for whatever reason, a HV pump recovers the pressure quicker. It pumps no more volume than stock, with stock bearing clearances. It's a myth that a Hi-Volume pump pumps the pan dry of oil. It can't pump any more volume than stock, unless you've opened up bearing clearances for racing purposes. Then you may need a larger sump capacity. A high pressure pump WILL pump more oil, because with more pressure comes more oil seeping past the same clearances.....

This is NOT the correct pump-UNLESS you run a priority main aftermarket block, which is NOT the case with the vast majority of LS blocks in existence. The 10296 Melling is the Hi Volume, standard pressure pump. It comes with the standard pressure relief spring installed, but also comes with a stiffer, hi pressure relief valve spring, not installed, but included for those with larger oil sumps.
