Before I installed my tranny cooler my average tranny temps were 195 to 201. After installing my tranny cooler(B&M 28,000 cooler) temps have never exceeded 180 so far.
In the summer here in Atlanta my tranny temp would stay in the 205-230 range. After installing Z06 front screens and drilling 3/8" holes in the plastic around the fog lights (with a homemade template) my tranny temps dropped an average of 15 degrees.
Note: drilling out the plastic by the fog lights is a lot easier than installing the WCC cold air screens.

Almost exact to mine. 98 A4 with SY3500 and the B&M.
Mine runs 180 to 190 after trans cooler. Prior to cooler I hit 230 one day on the road to Las Vegas hitting some high speeds. A cooler is a wise investment on any Auto.
Thanks you guys for all the input.........
Looks like a cooler is in order........
Lord knows I've spent enough on other
mods.....tranny longevity is a must.....

I was debating about the screens, but my daughter said she thought the car came this way.
My temps have ranged from 185 to 213 depending on the outside temp!
