Few questions for a c5 z06 owners first oil change. I have done oil changes on my previous cars.
1. Does the rear have to be angled higher than the front? I was planning to use my quickjack to do the oil change.
2. Should I replace the oil drain plug with a magnetic drain plug? Or just change the rubber gaske What do you recommend?
3. What are your thoughts on fumoto/quick oil drain valve? I've used them in the past on most cars without issue but the Z is low.
Thanks in advance.

1- Level is fine
2- Magnetic ones are fine and as for the gasket on the stock one it is built in, your replace the drain bolt
3- I don't use one- Maybe someone else will chime in on that idea
1) If the drain plug is at the bottom of the pan, that valve has to hang down a bit lower - making it the lowest thing - so it's possible it will be hit and broken off by some road debris - probably not likely - but more likely than the plug getting broken off...
2) The idea of the oil drain is to get as much old oil out as possible - I tend to think that anything that screws into the drain plug hole will have some amount of "height" and will leave a little oil in the pan. I completely "get" that we do not get ALL the oil oil out when we do a drain - but I'm looking to find ways to get more of the old oil out - not leave more of the old oil in.
To me - Unscrewing the drain plug is easy. So - I see no real advantage for the valve - but if you think it's an improvement - go for it...

with that oil drain valve you’re asking for trouble.
I installed an oil drain valve on my 2000 C5 and was immediately concerned about it being too low. It only hung down about an inch so I tried it out. Sure enough, on my next oil change I saw that it had taken a hit from some object. Off it came and back on with the stock plug. A nice sat of geared ratchets, like Craftsman or something similar, make reaching and removing that plug fairly easy.
