Guys, with stock ex manifolds and cats, is there a cat back that will give you the high pitched Indy car sound... with burble and talk back when under decel and downshifts? A buddy of mine is asking if I'm familiar with any exhaust like this, which I am not for Corvettes. Thanks
It's not the high pitched sound but the Borla ATAK system I have on my 2000 gets that lovely burble during downshifting/decel.
It had stock heads and just the OEM front cats. The Borla site has sound clips also of their systems which may be helpful.
The sound he is likely looking for would come from an engine with a flat plane crank. Not something he's going to do with a stock C5 engine.
I agree... I have owned a few Porsche's and know that sound well.... closest Ive came to it is with my V12 BMW with a custom built exhaust.
My C4 has the deep throaty American V8 sound... but I'm leaning the same way he is on my C5 and wish I could find a cat back that sounds a bit more "exotic"... right now it seems Borla and Corsa are the only two that are close to that sound....
