I have a 2003 base corvette with manual transmission and want to install headers and have it tuned. I'm curious about the pros/cons of using Speed Engineering headers vs a more premium brand like Kooks.
My car already has a Breathless Performance ram air intake and an axleback exhaust. I don't know anything about the exhaust, as the previous owner installed it and I don't see any branding.
My air injection pump and/or check valve is dead and the 1-4 CAGS shift feature bugs the crap out of me, so I figured I could have those tuned out and headers installed at the same time. I don't have any plans of doing more performance mods than this. The car already feels adequately quick but a little extra from the headers and tune should get me right where I want to be.
I have the lg pro’s on my c5z and the speed engineering on my c6z, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the speed engineering again they seem to be good quality and no fitment issues, I recommend them

Thank you! That's a very valuable opinion too, since you have both. Did you buy the speed engineering spark plug wires to go with? I don't know how critical those are. The previous owner of my car installed new plugs and wires last month.
