Just purchased a 1998 corvette that has only been started once or twice a year , its been in a garage for about 20 years it has 30,000 miles on it . I changed the oil had an exhaust leak fixed, reset all of the fault codes took it for a test drive the engine runs great but the auto transmission shifts hard going into 2nd gear, the check engine light came on when i was taking it to have the transmission oil and filter changed so i had the deaaler ship run a diaonostic test the dealer ship said 2nd and 4th gear issues . I am just wondering if changing the fluid and filter might solve the issue the car hasnt been driven but about 30 miles . Any help would be greatly appericiated the Dealer ship wants to charge 165 an hour with a min 5 hours to work on it. Ive also read a little about the controll valve possibly causing these issues

For someone to be able to help you they are going to need to know what codes you have.
If you have never pulled the codes before here is a vid to help you out
