I purchased a used 2002 base model with an auto yesterday. I knew it was a fixer-upper, but this one has me scratching my head. When I push the window button down, the driver's side seat moves back! Anyone else encounter this? The seller said it was his grandfathers and is relatively bone stock. I could be wrong, but the guy didn't seem like a tweeker either. Before I start ripping into this thing, I'm curious if this could be an easy fix or electrical gremlin farm...
You say your car is a base model with an automatic.
Does it have either of the 1SB or 1SC Preferred Equipment Groups installed? If it has neither of these options, does it currently have Sport Bucket seats installed?
When you move the seat backward (or forward) with the seat switch, does it have any effect on the window at all?

It does have the 1SB option with sport seats. Using the seat switch has no effect on the window.
Found the issue! apparently the seat switch was grounding internally an wreaking all sorts of havoc on my system. Bought a new switch, installed it, and now everything is working as it should! Weird but I'll take the win!
