how do you replace the ignition switch on a c5
Having a problem disconecting the ignition switch, i dis connected both wires however their is a 3rd square connection that i cant remove
please help

The cable sticking out the back of the switch housing can be removed by turning the key to the ACC or On position then pushing the lock tab on the bottom of the housing. It will then slide out.

tk u, the white part cracked and a piece broke off, I installed a new oem switch and put everything back together, the bottom of the cable has a spring set up, I just put it back into the housing.
The car will not start, all gauges go on I just get nothing went turning key to on position.
any suggestions, ideas? what does that cable do ? could that be the reason it doesnt start?
