zinc body screws rust?
will zinc exterior screws rust or be prone to rusting in the use of exterior design? I had bought 1.50$ set from lowes as i was missing a couple tail light screws that were black and headed up to the hardware store. I found an 8 pack of zinc the hardware guy said they wouldnt but when i looked it up zinc rusts or the silver type of screws. I found a 8 pack set of black screws to replace for the taillight screws in my toolbox that didnt stick out as much. The silver hex head may have looked better.

thanks i had found an older zinc screw under the interior carpet that did have some rust but i found an 8 pack of black screws sitting around in toolbox i had. I was missing some in the rear tailights and had grabbed some from home depot that were zinc. Not sure what else you could use use but thanks for the stainless steel for future reference.
