During the sale of my C5 I made the mistake of allowing the buyer and his wife to go for a test drive. When they returned the check engine light was on. We couldn,t clear it and during a subsequent short outing I began to hear loud chirping. Then a module on the dash lit up and started flashing numbers like4.5. This module had NEVER come on before so now I am wondering what the hell happened. The driver admitted stepping into it during the test drive. I suspect that the supercharger has been compromised somehow but do not know what to do. Can anyone offer a possible solution?
also, what module are you talking about that lit up on the dash?... with the car being supercharged we install all kinds of gadgets
I can't think of anything in the factory dash that would show a '4.5' reading anywhere. Same thing stuck out to me as well when I read the post. First thing that came to mind was when my wideband was acting up when I first installed it and it turned out to get a bad reading, so the error it showed on screen was a similar ## readout where the AFR should've been. I figured he meant a readout from an aftermarket gauge on a pod or something.
