Today was a bad day I ran over a big rock and it put a hole in my oil pan, I noticed that there’s an oil pan cover and an oil pan but I don’t see anyone selling the bottom cover which is all I need I don’t need the whole thing can anybody help me with this I don’t see it for sale anywhere thank you in advance gentlemen!
I believe the bottom covers are no longer available from GM, most have gone to parts dismantlers like AES, EBay, etc. or you can take the bottom cover to a good Mag wheel repair shop like I did and have them repair the hole. If doing the latter, make sure of the reputation of the company, in my case he was well known for the place where racers took the wheels to have work done on them.
Someone who has a lot of experience welding aluminum would also work. I don't know the size of the hole, but if it's just a small 1/8" or 1/4" hole, you may be able to drill and tap it for a small plug. I would use a fine thread, and use thread sealer and/or Loctite. Good luck....

why u take my good idea i told u that in confidence.
They aren't a wear item. I don't see what potential problems you are talking about. Other than damaged threads on the drain plug (easily repaired, if it's damaged), or a crack/crack repair, I can't think of anything earth shattering. I've had a 2 piece rattling around in my garage for 15 years, and other than a good cleaning, it's as good as new. Most people aren't going to damage a used oil pan by using it as an anvil. If the sealing surface has a few nicks, easily honed off with a stone. Most have good threads on the drain plugs. OP could buy 3 used ones for the price of 1 new one, IF new old stock pans are still available. Which they probably are, as most won't shell out close to a grand, tax included, for a stock oil pan. Just saying......
