Default Brake Master Cylinder Leaking?

I recently purchased my C5Z and while doing some maintenance, i noticed on the power brake booster under the brake master cylidner some rusting and brake fluid. I did rently did a brake fluid flush and noticed fluid coming out where the master cylinder and booster meet. Any ideas on this fix? Is it just a simple master cylinder replacement? Attached is a picture of the conditions, no brake fluid shown in the picture, since the car has been sitting for awhile. Thanks!

Yes, i did wipe it off a while ago, but i also havent been driving the car for a while since i am replacing the clutch on the car. During normal use, the rusty area was wet. And when i used a pressure bleeder to flush the system, i saw more of the area wet..... again, its dry cause it was wiped awhile ago and the car has been in the garage for a couple of months.... .

Yes, it is a fairly easy replacement. You will need to bench-bleed the new MC. Basically a bench bleed uses two fittings where the brake line connect so you can re-circulate fluid back into the reservoir while you push in on the plunger. You will need a good bench mounted vise to hold the new MC.

The fitting threads are different size. You can buy the bench bleed fittings.

Since the MC is leaking where it attaches to the booster... Does anyone think that fluid got inside the booster somehow? wondering if that too needs to be replaced?

yes you have to bleed all calipers. The front line on the MC goes to the two rear wheels, the rearward line the front. They route first to the ABS valve body, but the first valve is normally open, so no need to do a bleed of theABS, which requires a Tech 2 or scan tool.
