Default New to me C5

All, I recently brought home a 02 Z06 (Named Zoey by my daughter). It has 30K miles on it.

I have been a TPI/LT guys for many years, but due to the use of the car being more distance traveling and club activities rather than back road blast offs, a C5 fits the bill better than my previous C4. The C5 has more room, is easier to get in and out of, and has a more compliant ride. All great for my use but I am down about 50hp or so from my Procharged LT4.

Currently, the car has a Billy Boat exhaust, C6 shifter, and Halltech CAI. I have went through all fluids and looks like the only maintenance it needs is the brake fluid flushed and filled. Easy enough.

It is currently experiencing the blinker issue where I have to cycle the hazards switch to get them to work. So that is on the list. What generally needs to be addressed or what are the Achilles heels of the C5 that I can get out ahead of? I want a solid platform before any further mods. I am thinking LT's, short short shifter, intake, and tune. Any other mods that should be on the list for a C5?

These should help some. Column lock is probably one of the most important.

The long and short take care of the maintenance items you are unsure of and modify what you like.

No need to get over the top. Look check and if needed replace. Just make sure it is safe. After that just do what you like.

The LS6 intake flows plenty of air, even for a modded engine. Unless you plan to do a cam and heads, installing an intake is a colossal waste of money.
