I have a 2004 ZO6 with just over 9,000 miles on it that is giving either DTC 1232 or 1233..left or right front WSS. My car has been at the local dealership so long I can't remember which. I also have service active handling, service traction control and service ABS messages that come on at approximately the same speed after beginning to drive it. This started happening immediately after getting it out of storage in my enclosed metal carport where it was covered and hooked to a Battery Tender from May to October of last year. I also noticed a single mouse dropping on the passenger side engine (coil) cover. The warning displays and messages may be triggering at the exact same speed each time, which could be indicative of a problem with the microprocessor in the ebcm according to posts on another thread by Bill Curlee, but I can't test this right now since it is at the dealership. The tech has replaced the WSS and found a wiring harness issue but the same problem remained. The EBCM was sent out for a rebuild but that did not correct the problem either. The tech has "gone through" the wiring but can't find any more problems. Unfortunately, I have only been able to talk to the service writer so I don't have any details on what he has actually checked as far as wiring, grounds and connectors. I will probably cut my losses at the dealership and take on this project myself now that I've been able to gather some information on this issue, so any knowledge or advice would be greatly appreciated.
FIRST off welcome to the Forum !!...The 1232 or 1233 are more of a circuit problem and not a wheel speed variation one...the wheel speed sensor, wiring, and EBCM are everything that would have to be checked so by what you said everything was covered !!...as you can see in the picture one of the wires (white) on the connector has a 5 volt bias and if that bias voltage goes above 4.25 on both wires, goes below .75 volts on both, or one goes above 4.25 and the other goes below .75... that will set a code !!...and yes having the code set at the same speed sounds more like an EBCM than a faulty wire BUT before condemning any module you should always check that modules power and grounds and I believe on the EBCM there are 2 powers and 3 grounds.
