Default 2001 Fuel Pump question.

According to the description here: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=10147&jsn=455

This Delphi Fuel Pump says "Integrated fuel pressure regulator maintains pressure at fuel rail". Is this a feature in the stock fuel pump as well or just in this Delphi replacement?

Also, if this "integrated" regulator performs this task, why is there are need for a second pressure regulator in the filter assy?

Furthermore, I know there is also a check valve in the fuel harness on the left tank between the tank and the filter/regulator, so what is the need for that if this fuel pump performs that task according to the description?

Q1) This Delphi Fuel Pump says "Integrated fuel pressure regulator maintains pressure at fuel rail". Is this a feature in the stock fuel pump as well or just in this Delphi replacement?
A1) This is a standard feature of the modern elect fuel pump; the Delphi spec sheet shows the following> Maximum Pressure 80 PS > System Pressure 51 psi> Average Flow Rating 60 GP
Q2) Also, if this "integrated" regulator performs this task, why is there are need for a second pressure regulator in the filter assy?
A2) the car frame rail pressure regulator/filter does not regulate the transfer jet pump fuel pressure of the right fuel tank jet pump...The fuel pump pressure has to be regulated to the orifice in the fuel "Y" line to ensure that the PCM see the proper fuel transfer rate or the PCM will post a code for improper fuel transfer rates from the right fuel tank to the left fuel tank.

Q3) Furthermore, I know there is also a check valve in the fuel harness on the left tank between the tank and the filter/regulator, so what is the need for that if this fuel pump performs that task according to the description?
A3) the purpose of the check valve in the fuel pump module is to maintain fuel in the line above the fuel pump towards the "Y" Line when the pump is not in operation/running. For example, if there was no check valve in the pump module and the left fuel tank was at a fuel level of 1/8 to1/4 quantity of fuel, with the pump off and not running, fuel in the lines would back-flow to the fuel tank due to gravity....
