C5 Ring and pinion
Any difference between an auto or manual c5 ring and pinion.Im asking cause i need a new r&p and it says on web site for nitro 3.42 gears for manual cars only,how can that be?

Auto never came with a 3.42.
If you have a 3.15 diff, you can change the gear set to 3.42. You can’t with a 2.73.
If your diff is currently a 3.42, and says so on the tag, it came from a stick shift car.

But believe it or not there is a spacer available that will let you mount lower (numerically higher) gears in a 2.73 carrier but I've never heard of anyone actually using it on these forums.

I broke a couple of teeth off the ring and pinion,so just replacing with the same,just wanted to go with nitro r&p,and i just realized the rear was from a manual car,duh lol.thanks guys
