Easy enough to do. If your car is stock the only tools needed are a T15, a deep 10mm socket, a 7mm socket, a steady hand, and a flat blade screwdriver to undo the clips at the cigarette lighters, gas door release, etc.
Two 10mm are hidden under the caps when you open the center console.
The other two are under the Active Handling panel.
A T15 is under the interior temp sensor to the left of the ignition lock cylinder.
There are a few videos on line that describe both the removal and repair. Personally I thought the repair (for dim lights) was easier than the removal. I have found Google is easier than the search feature on this site.

Thanks but what is a T15?, looks like a little work. Be going to Florida for the winter and found a place in Tampa that wii rebuild it for $210.. Do you know if this would cause the A/C not to work, you can’t see anything , but the blower and heater will work. Love this ride had a 64,65,66 & 88

Torx. If you don't have a set, you can get them pretty cheap from Harbor Freight.

There are a few issues that would cause your AC not to work…not just a bad HVAC module !!…would be bad if you spent a lot to rebuild the module and still have no AC…what are you seeing which makes you believe the module is bad ??
