Last week my drivers side window protested against my opening request. Today I did some exploratory surgery and found this little fiddly plastic bit in the bottom of the door. Not sure what it's called but it appears to be the fwd
cable guide that mounts on the regulator assy just behind the speaker. Anyone know of a part number and who (if anyone) carries it? '03 Z06.
The regulator is a generic (not Vette specific) part. There are lots of POS plastic parts that get brittle over time. You can get a new unit from Rock Auto.
The green is part of the regulator I have never seen the pieces sold separately. Check to see if the regulator will work, my guess it won't and needs total replacement. If you buy the AC Delco part you might need a new electrical harness end as they changed the piece
Since I was unable to source a replacement part I scrounged up some hardware and reattached the offending part to its proper location. Function check OK! Of course my window switch assembly crumbled during disassemble, I'm doing a "repair" on that until I purchase a replacement. Luckily the switch assy is available from Autozone.
