Default 4L60E transmission fluid re-fill

Forgive me in advance for asking such a newb question but...I am familiar with the procedure for replacing the automatic transmission fluid but when the phrase "car must be level" is used are they referring to the car being level as when it sits on the ground (17" F/18"R tires) or is it making sure the pan is level to a level parallel surface (i.e. the garage floor)? Thanks. And I don't mind some mild ribbing for the question.

I've done mine on my Quick jack and it sits level on the concrete floor

It has to be level on whatever lifting source you use.
I used a magnetic level to get this right

Thought so. I dropped the pan and did a new filter and fluid about 3 years ago without issue. It.s up on set of 4 RhinoGear Rhino Ramps (16K lb capacity) in the garage so it's "level". Just checking...thinking too hard. But the reason it was on ramps was slipping 1-2 gear and hitting rev limiter. All the other gears were fine. Turns out when I dropped the 1-2 accumulator the GM plastic piston was cracked.
