Default SCM module driver side no working.

I am new to the forum, as I just purchased a 2001 convertible with a 6 speed about 8 weeks ago and love driving it.

The problem was the driver seat worked find for about 3 weeks and then went dead? I read all the good post on problems and finally purchased a used Seat Control Module, Well to my disappointment the seat did not move. So out it came again and again, jumped all the motors they worked. Just checked wires for continuity, all was ok. \But the interested Item that i came across was the harness coming out of the carpet for connecting seat, one of the 12 volts were not working. It was PIN F a small control wire circuit # 1140. So I did find 12 volts next to it on PIN E. So i jumped 12 volts between, and now the seat is moving, Great, But the control is backwards, instead of moving forward as you might thing it moves back. moving.
Any thought on this, as trying to find that potential broken wire is nearly impossible?

thanks
Bill

Are you checking the correct seat ??…circuit 1140 (orange) is for the passenger seat and is powered through fuse 3 (Lumbar). And welcome to the Forum !!

Thanks for your help the plug picture id called C301 from Forum and has the same wire in the same place. After you mentioned fuse #3, i did not know about that one only #4 fuse. I took out my jumper and put new fuse in on #3. Seat is working, but as with jumper attached the seat goes backwards when pushing the control forward.

At least i have power to seat good start,

thanks

Bill
