If you're close to the scheduled change, I'd do it. Then you're ready to roll when it comes out of hibernation! When you change the oil and filter, start the engine to run the fresh fluid thru the engine, maybe 1 minute and shut it down. Thats long enough to find any leaks, and will prevent any combustion byproducts, like water and acids, from contaminating the fresh oil.
Yes you should and let it run just as Grinder in the previous post said in order to flush out the contaminants. It's good practice to change the oil again before you take it out for the new season as well. Just use the cheap stuff for winter storage as you are just using the oil to coat the internals.
@HandOverFist - your garage flooring looks similar to mine, albeit the garage itself is much larger. I'm looking for land nearby to be able to build a larger garage/storage area.

Uh, I think you meant to post somewhere else!! This is a 6 month old thread, and nobody posted with the handoverfist screen name, and the posts were about oil changes, NOT garage floors.....
