Hey all, need a little advice. So, I got a set of 2013 C6 seats off eBay, had them recovered with new leather yesterday. Finally installed the drivers seat today. Plugged it in before bolting down, seats moved. Bolted down, seats moved all the way back. Sat down in it, seat doesn’t move. Doesn’t act like it’s trying to either, no power noises. I get out, pull the harness out from under the seat a bit, seat moves. Sit down without moving harness, seat won’t move. Where should I start to look? Seems like a bad connection to a motor?
Agreed, there's an intermittent connection somewhere. Bent connector pin, etc. Just have to find it. I'd pull the seat again and start working with a test light to figure out where the intermittent might be.
So, I pulled the seat controls and as soon as I unbolted the switch that controls the movement, it came apart. Looks like the upholstery guys may have broken two of the clips that hold it together because it just pulls right apart. So my guess is when I sit in the seat it’s separating. Heading to Chevy to pick up a new one now.
