Hypertech Programer for '02 6 speed
Has anybody used the Hypertech Programer III on an '02 with a 6 speed? any measurable difference? I had one for my '95 auto, but aside from the cooler temp (with stat), I always thought the major benefit was shift firmness, my car is stock.

Save your money. Use if for something else. You'll notice Zero difference. I put one on my wifes Tahoe thinking that because it came from the factory tuned for regular gas, it certainly had to help re tuning for premium fuel. After putting it on, I raced a friend with an identical Tahoe,and we ran side by side. I called hypertech, and they told me that to get any real gains, I'd have to put on a colder thermostat. I did (160 degree).
I never raced my friend after that, but I could not tell any difference. If it did not help the Tahoe, then I can't possibly believe it will help a Corvette that is already tuned for premium fuel.

save you $$.. take your car to a tuner with a wide band o2 dyno after you do all the HP mods. Then you can add timing to get the most out of your set up.

I agree with everyone so far. Save your money. I had a HPP+ for my '94 Z28 and it actually made the car 2/10's slower in the quarter. Why? I have no idea. But after that, I'd never spend the money on one again.
