Hi folks. I got the dreaded "ERR" message regarding my CD changer. I opened the sliding top on the changer and retrieved the cassette. I noted all the CD carriers were in the cassette.....but one CD wasn't in the carrier. I'm assuming I have a CD stuck inside the changer. Does anyone have advice on removing a stuck CD and doing some preventative maintenance on the changer? Thanks! .........Steve Snider
Had same problem 2 days ago. Pulled unit and took cover off and with my fingers pushed cd out and up out of player. Found disc had a crack in it. Put cover back on and reinstalled. Played through all discs yesterday. It just skipped number 2 spot, which is empty since that one that i had removed cd from. Think i am the clear now.
Success! I pulled the changer out of the car, opened it up, and finally was able to pull the CD out. It didn't appear to be damaged, but I tossed it anyway. I used Dust-Off to clean up the interior of the changer, reassembled it, installed it in the car, and tried it out. Everything works now. I went through all 12 spots with no problems. One little thing though.....I came back in after installing the changer and found a little copper clip lying on my desktop! Oh well....as long as the changer keeps working, I won't worry about it!
I’ve had this problem numerous times and have decided to only keep one disc in the unit at a time. So far so good. I also run an fm transmitter paired to my phone if I want a wider variety of music to listen to on longer trips.
I believe there is a device that plugs into the trunk cd so you can use the regular radio controls to play mp3 or memory stick, or whatever is used these days…
My player was acting up also. One cd was a homemade with a paper lable, which I removed. I also washed the plastic cd holders just to be sure that wasn’t an issue. All is working well now..just a thought

Light saber? 😀
I bought a device called “ROAV”. It plugs into your cigarette lighter or the plug in your console. You plug your Apple phone into it, set your radio to 95.5. Turn your Blu Tooth on and connect to the ROAV. Turn on your radio and you can play Pandora, Apple play, etc. It uses your stock stereo system, speakers, etc. Very good sound quality. I can’t tell the difference.
