Default no DIC p1571

I have read and read about trying to fix the p1571 code and as yet, have had no success. i have had the TC light, and ABS light on after letting the car sit for a few months. I have disassembled/cleaned the 3 grounding points under the hood, as well as cleaned the abs module plug in. I cannot pull the codes from the instrument panel as the display shows "service engine soon", and "brake before shifting" messages only?? my scanner will show all codes clear, but the lights remain, and as stated, I cannot get to the DIC to read any codes. I am at a loss at this point? Also, I have fully charged the battery and tried to get to the DIC with key in the "on position", and tried with car running, neither worked. Car runs and drives fine? The lights/code was never intermittent, showed up instantly after sitting for a while. I am really puzzled why I cannot get the DIC to respond, as there may well be more codes, but as of now, I have no idea. Any/all help would be appreciated

As far as testing the circuit unless you have a DVOM that can see Frequency and Duty Cycle it may be a little hard to diagnose...you can disconnect the EBCM harness and see if you have 5 volts on the Requested Torque signal harness wire...pin 12 which should be an orange/black wire...key ON for this check...this could be a bad EBCM, PCM, or wiring issues....you can try a "cap discharge"...remove the battery cables and let it sit for 60 minutes or so...then touch the disconnected battery cables together....then reconnect the battery.

thanks, I'll try the check you mention. I have read that it could be a bad wheel speed sensor? or possibly a faulty ignition switch? (Burnt contacts) i am not understanding why I cannot access the DIC, based on what I have read from others regarding the same issue?
