I bought a set of AUXITO LED lights and my motors function properly. They also have a screw on the locking collar so you can aim them correctly. The light output is great and most importantly the headlights open/close without an issue. I ran into that issue with another pair of LED headlights and it was annoying AF.

Guessing they have a built-in fan. If so, continuity is seen by the headlight module through the fan circuit.

I have to bump this thread to thank @Ed Ramberger for the relay mod illustration to fix the issues with LED bulbs in the stock C5 housings. I was able to purchase a weatherproof 30A automotive relay and some 9006 harness ends from Amazon and put them together with heat shrink solder connectors like this:

I was able to use the mounting tab to secure the relay to one of the headlight housing mount nuts to avoid having it flop around. The lights function as designed, however due to the way the LED is oriented in the housing (LEDs not pointing at 3:00 and 9:00 position) my beam pattern isn’t ideal. I will be switching to LED bulbs that allow for some adjustment of the locking ring. Does anyone have any suggestions for LED bulbs that (1) Don’t interfere with the opening/closing of the lights, and (2) have an adjustable base to orient the bulb correctly? Thanks Gents!

Which Auxito lights did you get? And did you aim the bulbs vertically or horizontally?

If you look at my Amazon image above, the second and fourth one are the ones to buy. They allow you to re-position the locking ring so the LEDs are oriented in the 3:00 and 9:00 position in the housing, which is how they are designed to be installed.

Darn it. I ordered the first one due to size. Any chance it'll orient ok?

The second and fourth one seem to have a large diameter base which is just like what I have now In fact the base on those is even bigger than mine. I'm really frustrated because I bought the first one in your image but the lock ring isn't adjustable so the beams won't be in the correct direction I'm so frustrated at this point any help would definitely be appreciated because I don't feel right ordering stuff from Amazon trying it out putting it back in the box and sending it back to them

It's not the diameter of the base that you need to be concerned with, it's the depth, or how much it extends out from the back of the housing. The ones you got aren't adjustable, which is enough of a reason to send them back, IMO. Hopefully you didn't install them yet!

I'm about to purchase the "correct" adjustable ones myself. These are the second and fourth sets in that Amazon image, which were the ones @jdewolf installed and adjusted a few posts back. I will report back my findings when I can.

Of the two that work which ones do you recommend the second one or the fourth one?

Both, actually. The second one is a set of 9006 (low beam) bulbs, and the fourth is a set of 9005 (high beam) bulbs.
