C5 HVAC Temperature Control Issue
Anyone help me out? I have 99 C5 and the HVAC temperature control **** is not working right, when I turn the temperature control **** to cooler or warmer, the window on the HVAC unit displays the outside temperature displays 80 degrees and I want to turn cabin temperature down to 70, when I turn the duel control temperature **** on drivers side it will lower one degree to 74 and I continue turning it down slowly it will bounce from 74 to 75, I have to wait about 5 seconds till the outside temperature displays again, turn the **** again and it drops down another degree 73 then wait till outside temperature displays again then turn it down another degree, I have to repeat this over and over till I get to desired temperature. Took the unit out and took it to a local automobile audio store and he checked the solder points in the circuit board and found only the solder points for the lights on the unit buttons needed re-soldering, lubricated the dual control ***** but it's still doing the same thing, removed the number 27 fuse to the HVAC controls and did not help. Do I have a bad circuit board or diode ? Car only has 33,000 miles on it.Hate to pay $500 to $600 for a refurbished. Thanks !!
