Got the new shifter in today. Noticed a little vibration/rattle at higher rpm's. I remember seeing some discussion of this before. What's causing it
Is it from the "travel stop adjusters?
Did anyone eliminate it? Maybe a little dab of RTV on the ends of the stop screws?
Chris..........thanks for the info
I'll give some of those things a try. Can't imagine how the stock **** with that key could be loose enough to vibrate but I'll go to work to stop it.
I found that a good wrapping of plumbing teflon tape did quiet down the ****, but I never did eliminate the tunnel noise. I did find a plumbing thing that goes in a toilet that would fit on the shifter and seal the hole in the rubber close out boot, but I removed the Hurst prior to trying it so I don't know if it would have worked.
