Both Key Fobs Don't Work ???

Both Key Fobs Don't Work ???
All of a sudden both of my key fobs won't operate. First thing I did was put brand new batteries.
Any ideas? I have an 01 with 60K miles. Do the fobs "go bad"? Both at the same time?

Non judgmental question: Did you put the batteries in the correct way?
Not that I have ever made that mistake, or willing to admit it, However if you take it to the dealer and they look and they are upside down, they look at you funny, again, not that I have ever done that...

But yes, in all seriousness....I've learned that before I ever take something apart....I always take many pictures as a reference.
It has saved my life many times! I was thinking maybe the batteries I bought "new" in Walmart may possible be dead too.
I'll buy some new ones again and try.
