EBCM/DIC/Cluster Systems Delete
With the complexity of the C5's electronics that all seem to talk to each other, the fact that a lot of these parts are not serviceable and are no longer made, such as the gauge cluster and my 99 EBCM, what would it take to do a major overall of a C5's systems and replace them with something more current and serviceable? I know there's peeps who've done the Bosch ABS swap, there's Haltech/Motec/Holly ECUs and new digital clusters available. I'm talking swapping out all this aged problematic stuff but keeping the car 100% usable as a daily or semi-daily driver, with cruise, AC, etc. I know it would be a lot of work and not cheap (remember, this is mostly academic), but is there an upgrade path that could be done replacing components over time as they failed?
I'm not even sure what search terms to use, I've done a little researching but nothing has come up. I'm fully willing to do the leg work if someone knows of a thread or two or what search terms to use.

retrofitting BMW Mk60 ABS as a standalone
Does the C6 ECBM need the ECM for ABS to work?
