I replaced the motor on the 99 C5 and all was well. It was working fine. Today, I washed the car and sprayed the engine compartment. Apparently I got some water on the wiper motor since when I started the car, the wipers came on and would not turn off. I pulled the fuse to stop them.
When I replaced the motor, there was a rubberized splash shield on top of it. It was brittle and torn some but I left it in place. I am wondering if the torn shield is the source of my problem. I looked online and cannot find the shield. Anyone know where I can find the shield?
Any other advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
Clay
I'm afraid I didn't take pictures. It was a a 4 inch square piece of rubberized fabric which covered the top of the motor. The shaft that the motor protrudes through the fabric.
