Well as i have the funds and have asked this question before im going to see if i should purchase the ebay rear towhook that bolts to the bumper brackets? Has anyone actually used one for pulling the car or even pulling it up on a flatbed or towing it in the staging lanes, winching on a trailer? 97-04 Chevy C5 Corvette Z06 Red Rear Bumper Racing Bolt-On Tow Hook | eBay Its for actual use and not looks why id prefer someone with experience in using this tow hook for the rear? Or is it thin sheetmetal that will snap with any significant force applied?

Ok im probably going to purchase the rear one incase i have to use it one day. You could weld it behind the frame or drill two extra self tapping screws to make sure it secured solidly behind the frame part it loops around it. I dont think id weld it would be hard to remove so a big self tapping screw or couple just to make sure its flush with the surface and secured when towing or pulled and doesnt yank out from under the frame rail.

The front hook is bolted to the frame with 6 - 3/8" bolts.
The rear hook connects to the 2-bolt rear exhaust bracket. 
I don't think that I will try to tow with the rear one, if I can help it.
