Default Wiring issue near BCM

I bought a '99 Coupe (6-speed) about 6 weeks ago, and I'm slowly putting it back to stock, and replacing missing parts. An aftermarket stereo was installed, and the wiring was all hacked-up. They were pulling power from the A/C controls, and tapping in to several other places.I undid all their wiring behind the dash, and installed a stock stereo head unit, and all was working well. While I was in there, I noticed they left the cigarette lighter uninstalled, so I hooked it back up. A few days later the head unit stopped powering on, so I checked fuses (none were blown), but I noticed this wiring in the footwell. This is with the BCM removed. There was an inline fuse going to ground coming out of the stereo fuse that I already removed, but I'm wondering if this wiring has anything to do with why they disconnected the cigarette lighter? I know that the optional CD changer gets power from down here, and I read that it also ties in with the cigarette lighter outlet. Anyways, I know these pictures are bad, but can anyone tell what's going on here? I'd like to put it back to stock. It has a purple wiring coming out of a wiring harness, spliced into a connector for the BCM, which tees off to what looks like some sort of relay. All are purple wires and all are connected together. Anyone shed any light what these wires go to, what the relay is for, etc.? I left the cigarette lighter outlet unplugged again, and got the stereo working again. Not sure if it was related or now. I can try and snap more pictures if it would help. Thanks for any info!
