Wrapping up a winter project where I swapped out my radiator and water pump while also adding new silicone hoses and had a brain cramp where I forgot to take pictures before hand.
Per the photos below, does the auxiliary hose on the left that comes out of the water pump connect to the upper or lower aluminum hose near the rear of the engine compartment next to the battery den? The other hose connects to the surge tank and I just want to make sure I’m connecting the correct hoses and not mixing them up.
Tried a search for a diagram but couldn’t find anything.
Orientated to your first photo, left hose is heater hose that goes back to fire wall. Right hose goes toward the front bumper and wraps back to the surge tank.

Thanks. I understand that, however my question is which connection does the left heater hose out of the water pump connect to at the firewall? The upper or lower aluminum connector in my second pic? (I know it's a a little hard to see)
I'm pretty sure it's the lower and the upper comes from the surge tank.
Thanks. That's how I currently have them connected, however I was watching a video on You-Tube regarding a radiator flush and it looked like the hose coming out of the surge tank was connected to the lower aluminum firewall connection hose so it questioned my install. It's not like these connections are marked and the hose kit didn't include any directions. All the other hose connections are pretty much self-explanatory, it's just the two connections near the firewall that I forgot to make a mental note on which hoses connect upper and lower.
Thanks. That's how I have them currently connected. I found the picture below off an LS1 Camaro/Firebird forum but I think the configuration is similar considering the upper hose connects to the C5 surge tank and then has a secondary hose that connects to the water pump.
