I recently had my fender off and the fuel door off, everything back together, adjusting the fuel door was a pain to make sure it didn t rub when closing and opening. Now when i close it, it won t open with the button or the pull cord unless i put a bit of pressure on it, push it in a bit and hit the button or pull cord and it pops open, wondering if there is some kind of adjustment i can make somewhere, really no adjustments on the fuel door tho. maybe bend the tab that goes past the pin a bit ? Not sure what to try, worked perfect before.. any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated..

First suspect I'd check out that would be a potentially "easy fix" to me is the plunger. Since the manual release and the button do both work (albeit with some tinkering), it doesn't seem to be an issue with the actuator itself or anything electrical like the fuse for the button.
When the nut around the plunger is loose, there is some wiggle room for adjustments that can be made. I'm wondering if maybe the plunger is too far out towards the fuel cap as you have it right now and it's getting caught on the tab on the door and when you're putting pressure against it, it's giving the plunger enough relief to function properly. Not sure if that's what's happening, but it's something simple to try before taking anything apart any further.
Hope that helps!
