Service column lock
Problem is my steering wheel is not locked but this comes up every time I turn the key, then I get the remove key for ten seconds! What else is going to happen? I don’t know but I’m pulling my remaining hairs out.

Was the recal ever done? Usa had one solution (remove worm gear)- canadians double locked it open when engine running. I got stranded once. Heres what i did. With engine running pull bcm fuse the turn off car / open door. Plug fuse back in and start car to see if it works

Thanks I will try that, at this point ill try anything because I usually take it out for a drive every day late in the afternoons. Hate to see her in the garage standing still. Thanks for the tip and also I get the “remove key for 10 seconds”! All of a sudden I’m getting bombarded.

I tried the lcm5 module after getting the pull key wait 10 seconds which would cut the car off. My steering wheel has always been unlocked directly after putting lmc5 i got the "steering column locked" message and still did the 2mph fuel cut. I usually have to wait 10-15 minutes when it left me stranded at gas station. I did have it changed from 2mph to 200mph thru the tune so hopefully wont happen again.
