Definitely high pressure!Hope the seals and gaskets can hold it.I am sure you know what the issue is.
IDK what seals or gaskets need to hold oil pressure, other than the barbell restrictor O-rings. Anyway, sounds more like the oil sender is junk. Easy fix.......

Don't cut an access hole!!! Never been an easier intake to remove than the LS engines. Just spray some Gunk (not essential, but cant hurt) on the engine, and use a garden hose to rinse off the top of the engine. Dont powerwash it!! Then use some compressed air to dry the excess water. Then there's 10, or 12, hex head cap screws to loosen, a vacuum line, and a pcv hose to disconnect, and it's ready to remove. Once you've done this, and it only takes maybe 20-30 minutes after you've done it once or twice, you'll wonder why anyone bores holes in anything.........

Too late. I cut the hole about 4 years ago when the first OP sensor failed. Fix should be super easy this time. I don’t know why some are so adamant about not cutting. After completion no one can see the wound.
Has to be just junky sensors...never had this problem with any other vehicle.
Yup!! I usually lean towards replacing most electrical components with OEM. This is one of the few that I wont. Bought a 1 year warranty replacement from O'Reilly 5 or 6 years ago. Lasted longer than any of the OEM units I've bought in the past, and still works fine....
