Default Need some help ASAP

A wire in my driver doors accordion shorted and caused a fire which burned some wires. No other damage just wire insulation!
I re-wrapped the wires that I can see with electrical tape seperately then I wrapped them all together to create a harness, but I really need to be able to follow and check these wires all the way inside the interior of C5 Z06.
The problem is I can't figure out where these wires enter the interior. It should just got thru the door jamb straight into the interior, but it does not. Not at all.

Here is the pics to better explain the damage and the issue the pigtail shorting out caused. The wires are still very much intact eventhough there was an electrical fire around this point.
Most of the black rubbery substance you see hanging off of the wires is just the left over residue from me using spray on electrical tape or normal electrical tape then removing it for the pics.
Overall the wires are not too bad. I mean the damage could have been so much worse especially with a fire.

The wires that go inside the door jamb appear to be okay.

Although I am heart broken that my car had a fire, I am grateful the damage was minimal overall. This could have been so much worse.

Now that you know the damage here is my question.
Is there a way to pull those wires back thru what appears to be a plastic firewall so I can really examine all of those wires to wrap them properly. I am very limited in space and movement trying to fix this with the wires hanging out thru the door accordion area. Its extremely tight to get a good wrap over those wires, hand movement is extremely limited.

Once again just for clairification the black rubbers substance that you see around some wires is just some left over residue of electrical tape I didn't remove yet.

I originally tried spray on electrical tape, the next go around I used heat shrink, but it didn't seal tight enough around the wire, so finally I covered the heat shrink with electrical tape.

This wire here appears to be fully exposed after about 5 inches of sheathing and I'm not sure why, but right under the original harness wrap there is no insulation over that wire at all past 5 of 6 inches from the pigtail connector.

First let me say that I appreciate all of the help you guys give. Now let me give you an update and ask my next question.

This is the before from the fire damage

This is now:

All of the wires have been re-wrapped one by one. This was quite the chore having only the space of the door jamb available to rewrap these wires again.

To check these wires. Now I need to remove this plate without damaging it to bring the wires inside. How do I do this without damaging this plastic plate?
I have check the wires for damage to repair them. Even with those wires above fully wrapped I can still smell burning when I start the car up.

With the wires re-wrapped with electrical tape to insulate them they should no longer produce a burning smell right?
When I start the car up after re-wrapping the wires it smells for like a minute or two then the smell will become almost non existant. until I shut the car off and start it again. Its not a constant burning smell at all. It lingers for about a minute or two then the smell will fade away.

Its just a solid plastic plate on the interior there are no tabs to push on to remove this plate.

Peel it? What about these clips wouldn't peeling it off break them? I just want to be sure I do this right without damaging them so I am just making sure. They are what holds it to the inside of the door.

Use a skinny flat blade screwdriver and get it in the seam. Push the bottom of that cover up and start to pull it out. Release those tabs one at a time. Use your phone camera or a mirror to see how many and where they are
